Why universities are losing the narrative and how we might get it back
Dr. Chad Gaffield
In re-imagining universities in the 21st century, the challenges and opportunities of articulating a new narrative have proven to be daunting both on campus and in the larger society. Often overwhelmed by heated debate about external financial pressures and technological disruption, academic and public discussion rarely reflects enthusiasm or optimism or even appreciation of the profound scholarly changes now transforming all aspects of university life in the Digital Age. This presentation will explore these changes and how they how can provide the foundation for a new narrative about universities in a new era.
